give more details.. what kind of interference is it? Are they just computer speakers? or are you talking about a full stereo that you have your pc hooked up too? Is there anything near the speakers? ie, computer, monitor, phone, cable.... ???

just talkin about regular speakers, 2 satelites and a subwoofer. the speakers are close to my monitor, comp, and phone
does isolating the speaker wires reduce interference?

Have the same problem in Win2000Pro, not in Win 98Se though. I had a microphone close by, when pulling it out and rebooting the noise stopped. Funny thing is that it almost seemed to loop. I have Cambridge soundworks 4:1 FPS1000 or something. Would love to have the mic plugged in full time, so if anyone has a "cure"...

mute you line in when you arent using the mic. and mute anything else that you dont always use; that may stop a lot of your problems
