Why do I buy scary games?

Knowing full well that I won't be able to play it for long?

I bought The Evil Within (Resident Evil) and Until Dawn and man Until Dawn is really scary for me.

I been playing RE Revalations Co-op with my daughter. Lots of fun. She loves smacking zombies in the face with the brick when playing as Natalia.

The first scary game I played was Half Life 1 on PC at midnight with all the lights off. Scary because of the darkness/rats, and mainly because the health packs were perfectly place only when you were very low on health.

I haven't been scared of many games since, but I would like to be again.

That brings back a lot of memories. I think what scared me more was playing the original AvP with some friends in a dark room. I was playing the alien and about to put the smack down on some unsuspecting colonial warrior when he looked up, realizing his doom.

My friend screamed and caused everyone else to scream at his spontaneous scream. Too funny. God that game bothered me some nights. What a ninny I am. I miss that game.

Nope because the guy who made RE 1 - 4 is the guy who made The Evil Within so it not lame like RE 5 - 6. Might I add I hate 4 though. It not RE without zombies.

Yes of course.

But it's also basically just a full conversion for RE 4-5-6.

And really anything but scary. Honestly, the "scariest" moments of the game are within the first hour. It's almost all downhill after.
