Why do guys here dislike [H]ardforum?

I saw numerous threads and posts against Hardforum. It doesn't seem like a bad place?.. How did it get its bad rep?

A lot of people left Hardforums due to Kyle's attitude towards members. Another aspect is that there is no off topic forums there anymore that are open to the public.

I don't see what's wrong with it...just don't get involved with the politics and you'll be just fine. I think it's a much more hardware-focused site than AT, but AT has better technical support. If you want to go discuss the latest Dell or Westinghouse LCD, is the way to go...plus their FS/FT is really good :thumbsup:

nazi admins. they banned my roommate, then i asked a mod what rules my roommate broke, and he banned me saying i was a dupe account. never had a reason to go back.

I got banned there a long long time ago for something really stupid. I was protesting some ruling of theirs about a member from here or something.

check the feedback forum sometime, they rarely let a thread go 20 replies before nixing it

I really like the displays section. Site really doesnt look all that great.

Kyle is an asshole. I've met the dude in person too.

He seems cool until you point out something which shows he is incorrect about something, or you make it known you disagree with his point of view.

I totally agree!!
They are very point of view oriented.
If you disagree with them move on with your life. Because it`s iether their way or the highway!
SPECTRE who goes by the name MrOblivious on these forums a complete something!
I told him where to shove his attitude and opinion on jonnyGURU`s forum......banned for life but it was worth it!!
Nothing more horrendous that somebody who applies double standards to everything!!

You don't even need to read the forums to tell that Kyle seems really petty. The shouting matches in his op-ed pieces make me think he's a spoiled 15 year old that likes to cry whenever someone disagrees with him. That, and the fact that the site looks horrendous makes me stay pretty far away now.
