Most people primarily work out for vanity reasons, to look better, even tho the other benefits are good too. If it didn't make people look better, most wouldn't do it. Much of vanity is about insecurity. It shouldn't be surprising imo that some carry the vanity issue further than others and wear makeup to the gym.

Myself, I don't wear makeup to the gym, but why oh why do Girls wear makeup to the gym? My friend doesn't wear makeup but she want's to know why too. :awe:

I've seen so many girls wear makeup, it's like they are trying to impress the males.. :whiste:

You get really sweating, and oily when your make up melts. I understand if it makes them feel more comfortable. But common sense tells you that you will sweat in the Gym, therefore your makeup will turn smudge.

I never ever wear makeup to the Gym. Makeup+ bacteria = pimples.

I always wonder. What do you guys think, why do they wear makeup to the gym?

This bugs me alot!

You have got to be kidding me... isn't it obvious? They want to be picked up! And if not that, they just enjoy the attention or they enjoy the process of leading guys on and then rejecting them or playing them.

Many girls come to the gym for that sole purpose alone. They will lazily do the stair climber shakin' that ass waiting till someone approaches them.

I wear it for work and I visit the Y for an hour afterwards to run on the treadmill so I wouldn't say I wear makeup just for the Y. I merely tend to wait until I'm home before washing up. Now if I'm sweating profusely and it's beginning to run, that's another story. :) But I am fortunate in that I haven't had that happen a whole lot.

Makeup and GOBS of perfume. It's awesome, really.

I second yoga pants, it's much better than watching TV. Thank you stair master vision!

This made me lol. :)

As far annoying people at the gym, girls with make up doesn't bother me at all as they don't personally affect me like stinky people or women wearing too much perfume do. Maybe girls are bothered by this more than guys are as girls see them in a competitive light?

I don't so much think it's a competitive thing as much as it might just be our nasal senses seem to be more astute than what most guys seem to have. What might seem pungent for them could be outright nauseous for us. That's not a good thing when you're in a place working out and breathing hard.
