Why do games always have such crap endings?

I just finished FarCry - a game I thoroughly enjoyed. However, the "ending" absolutely sucked major hoop. This isn't an isolated problem. What's the dillio?

GAH! I couldn't agree more! I'm glad I'm not the only one with that sentiment... My first reaction was, "That's it?!?"

Excellent game, crap ending. Made the last level completely not worth the incredible pain it was to beat.

i dont have Far Cry, but it cant be anywhere near as bad as MOH:AA. That by far is the worst ending in video game history.

KOTOR had a good ending. Too bad they got rid of one of the better endings.

It wasn't hard to beat in god mode.
