Call of duty 5 is a prime example. Why do companies hire out studios that make an amazing game like call of duty 4, only to make a ton of money (I'm sure) and then switch the studio to something crappy like Treyarch. It seems like Treyarch just took what was already done and screwed it up.
I may be missing something, so correct me if I'm wrong, but does this make sense whatsoever? Why not just stay with the studio that made the best game? I might be getting Publisher -> Developer -> Studio all mixed up, but maybe someone can explain.
