Indeed. I speed on the freeways, but I definitely try not to speed on the surface streets... sometimes, though, I go 3 to 4 miles over the limit on surface streets.

Red cars are a taboo. Cops look at anything sporty-looking and fast nowadays -- white, yellow, silver... If you're speeding, they'll give you a ticket. If you're speeding and you're a girl, well, that's another story.

Oh don't even get me started on this. My sister-in-law got pulled over doing 80 in a 65 zone (confirmed by the officer), and was told she was only pulled over to see if she had her seatbelt on, she did, so the cop informed her she could go as fast as she wanted as long as she was buckled up. :Q

I used to get a lot of tickets when I had my red accord coupe.....traded it in for a dark green 325ci and still speed just as much and havent had a ticket yet.

..has something to do wit color spectrum and human eye sensitivity..turns out red is the most vivid color to our eyes. A throw back to the hunter/gather days. Yup..got rid of my red truck years ago. Ticket magnet. I find bright white or polar white the least conspicuous..but after all, if you drive a red car you do it to be noticed don't ya?? And EVERYBODY is going to notice..cops n all. So how do you like being high profile??

just made three trips down the 101 (arcata to sf -- about 300 miles) averaging well over 90 the whole way without a single ticket in my white sleeper protege. did get pulled over a few times though.

one time i got let off because the local cop and highway patrol both caught me at the same time and got in a argument. the local cop let me off just to piss the highway patrol off since he had jurisdiction

I am flying home next week, btw. I think I have pushed my speeding luck as far is it is going to go

My ticket parade started when I got my 02 suzuki gsxr....... after selling that and getting a 91 honda crx.... 0 tickets.... I love how cops like to just pinpoint sporty rides and give tickets.... alot of times I see vipers, vettes, and stangs pass me up and surely enough they are pulled a few miles ahead.

I've had my blue/white 2001 GSXR-1000 since it was new, and haven't been pulled over yet. I've also had several red sporty cars, and still never got pulled over... although I definitely think the red attracts their eyes. Maybe cops are just more fair around seattle... but I doubt it!
