why do cooked chicken grow hairs?

i noticed that if u let cooked chicken sit over night @ room temp. it will grow hairs....:disgust:


can some1 explain why this phenonmon happens?

No it isn't.

It is a misinterpretation, however. Dead people's hair and fingernails appear to grow because of skin shrinkage, AFAIK.
 
it was my neighbor who borrowed my grill, and the next morning i found he forgot some chicken which sat overnite and had small hairs growing on it...

i was kind enuff to return the chicken to him ...

Everytime I order chicken wings from a Chinese Food Restaurant it has chicken hair on it..
I don't think it's actual hair but little bits of feather left over ?

who knows .. it's yummy
 
its not mold.... which i believe are forms of alge which feeds on glucose based compounds...



this however is hair, which sprouts from the epiderm layer...
 
It is an urban legend... even though some of you guys gave the answer why it's not
