There are two cats fighting outside. Why exactly do cats fight? Is it just for food, or is it something to do with territory?

Why do humans fight? Cause fighting and killing is good. Keeps the numbers down. We should start WW III asap.

Cats fight to gain/maintain territory. This is tied to breeding and feeding rights on that territory. It's the "dominant male" kind of thing you always see on nature shows. But with domestic cats, females have territory as well, and will defend it.

You should just be thankful they don't have weapons of mass distruction.

Do cats have religion? Perhaps that's another reason, we may never know.
