Why do BOLD, ITALICS, and UNDERLINE work in IE and Konquer but not Netscape 4.7x?

Due to the fact that Netscape 4.x doesn't support bolding text after a style parameter has been established. NS 6 fixed that issue.

As much as I like sites that are compatible with everything and their momas, I gotta say, NS 4.7x sucks big time, and I dont see why anyone should bother with them.

Especially when there are good alternatives for every OS out there.
