Every day, I see several old Ford Crown Vics with younger black people driving them. Is there something I dont know?

BTW: These arent the same crown victorias I am seeing everyday. Through out the course of my day, driving between Baltimore and DC, I see them everywear.

Well, police officers dont drive older model Crown Vics. At least not around here. DC/Baltimore area.

White Crown Victoria's should not be sold to the public. It's like selling Taliban outfits to people.

Ahh, I didn't think you were talking about old school crown vics.

They're relatively powerful cars, nice sized engine, power, and conveys a "well off" appearence. Pretty much a poor man's Cadillac STS. Porbably the reason you see them driving them. That or they figure they can at least match the police's speed.

Only reason you think only black people drive these is because you ignore the white people who drive them also. You're seeing what you'd consider "the negative."

I sometimes play a game that a lot of people probably think is racist, but if I see cars with certain types of modifications, I try to guess the ethnicity of the driver, then I move close enough to see who's driving. There are some types of cars where my success rate is damn close to 100%.

that sums it up
not to mention they can be had for pretty cheap through police auctions when they replace them. the police replace the cars somewhat frequently so as to not have to wrory about it breaking down in the middle of a chase, but typically are still in great shape and decent amount of miles when sold at auctions.

No, I look at all cars on the road. And the only crown victorias I see are
1) Marked and unmarked new-model police
2) Older people driving the new-model crown victorias
3)Younger black people driving older model crown victorias

And I see many more younger black people in older crown vics then older people in new-model crown victorias. I've observed this for a while now.

Lol, I do this too. I also do it based on the way they are driving. If it's racist... sue me!

I wouldn't consider it racist, just a reverse type of profiling :D.

Seriously? Screams poor and stupid to me.

How old are we talking? Even the 99' models seem relatively luxorious in apperance compared to Ford's other offerings. As I stated, a poor man's Caddy.
