Why do Asians always toss around fireballs?

Ever notice that in Asian break dancing and Asian modern dance troups always just toss around fireballs? Seems to be a very popular move now a days.. I guess all that anime and Street Fighter has some kind of influence..

In only two or three instances have you seen this..what makes it so popular? And it's only ever done by my friend..it's his signature move. Just because a couple asian dancers use it...it automatically means ALL asians do it? Bleh.
