Maybe you'd like to discuss why you guys drive on the wrong side of the fucking road?!

We don't drive on the wrong side of the road...we drive on the right side of the road...and we invented driving. :p

(although, arguably perhaps not the first automobile)

I would suggest that having an official government-sponsored Queen is such a strange occurrence that anything else should be tame. Mongolians call horses dogs? Seems normal compared to worshiping a Queen.

So because the Australians have a Queen, the Americans call their main course a French word?

This is getting weird.

Of course not. It means that to an Australian, an American calling his main course a French word (even though I would dispute characterizing it as a French word in its current use) shouldn't be shocking or surprising. After all, he is forced to engage in the weirdest practice of all, monarchy, as a routine thing.

COW I don't think that's how it works. I'm glad you're trying, but no. That is clearly wrong.

bfdd, I think that you're confused. People tend to calibrate their thinking in reference to their surroundings. When an Australian calibrates his, it's immediately skewed to bizarre. After all, we're talking about a country where Monarchs, Crocodile Dundee, and human-koala breeding experiments are common.

So how do you calibrate using the word "entry" as meaning the middle of your meal?

And they think the same thing about you. I agree bowing to the Queen is retarded, but it doesn't equate to this argument about our usage of the word entree one bit.

entry isn't entree. how many times do i have to keep telling you that. in FRENCH it means entry, in AMERICAN it means a meal or course. just because it's a loan word does not mean it shares the same meaning.

Ok look at the word entree.

Sit there looking at it for a while.

Now think what it could mean if you had never seen it before.

Now think how fucking stupid you would have to be to use it to refer to your main course.

FFS.

We're not racist, we're xenophobic.

Big difference. We like how our country is and don't want people coming here trying to change it. Fit in or fuck off.

Multiculturalism is a disaster.

You are quite racist as well though. (nationally that is, not you personally)

Don't worry about CanOWorms. He's Indian, and has a major hatred of people who come from countries that arn't shitholes.

He's also still pissed of that England tried to civilize India but failed. Somehow that's our fault. (Us being the commonwealth.)
