Why do all the Canadian's use "Cheers"?

Cuz international law forces canadians to declare themselves to prevent confusion. They might act retarded, but no.. they are just canadian :p

I've not heard any canadian say Cheers, except my husband. But he says he picked it up while in England.

Changing topics a little here but.......Im from canada living in the US now. How come when I say thank you, Americans say "uh-huh?" Ever heard of YOU'RE WELCOME?!?!?!

I have never heard a Canadian say cheers and I have been going up there for 20 years now.
