Why do absolutely no games work on Hamachi?

Hi, me and my friend both have the same version of Hamachi, and we have LANed many games before, like Vegas, C&C Generals, Civilization 5, and GRAW2 (ghost recon advanced warfighter), dawn of war 2, splinter cell conviction, Portal 2.

But when we try Hamachi, all of the above don't work, except for GRAW2 and Generals

Why? If GRAW2 works why don't the others work?

EDIT: for Civ5 we can see each other but when we try joining it just says network error, and we tried Tunngle with all the above games and they don't work either

I find Tunngle to be much more reliable for games, give it a shot. http://www.tunngle.net/index.php?l=en

We tried Tunngle already

Some games can be played through Voobly. I find this program to be the simpliest (it always connects because if direct doesn't work, it connects through server I think). But game choice is not very good.
Tunngle is my second favorite, but much better than hamachi. I know it didn't work for me once, but I tweaked some settings in Tunngle and it worked (couldn't see my partner before tweaking).

Sadly, my friend won't play the l4d games, he says too bloody, and he doesn't like cartoony games, thanks for reply tho

Hmmm, I know I've used several games over hamachi successfully. Used Tunngle more though as that seemed to work better. Also just setting up a straight VPN (creating an incoming connection on one PC, then a VPN connection on another) seems to work pretty well as well.

Hamachi works all the time for us, but try setting priority on the hamachi adapter above your LAN adaptor.
