It's total BS. To use my card as a debit card costs me $1 per transaction.
Walmart can go fly a kite. I almost never shop there anymore.

You need to get a new card/bank I would think. Does it cost you that much every time you use it as a debit card?

KK

I use mine as whatever I want and never have gotten charged a fee. Unless of course if I go to an atm machine to actually get cash out. That is very rare that I do that though, I usually just go to the grocery store and buy a pack of gum and then get cash back.

BUT by cutting them off Visa/MC wouldn't lose any Walmart business...........because Walmart would have dropped the suit immediately and begged for mercy!

Walmart can't do business if they don't accept Visa/MC

And walmart would sue the living fsck out of them. Visa/MC are essentially in a monopoly position, and walmart has the cash on hand to call them out on it if they so choose.

Use a regular credit card and just pay your bill at the end of the month. Simple.
I have never used a debit card in my life nor paid with check at a store.

Almost the same here ... sometimes when I am at the grocery store I will pay with Debit ... otherwise its credit everywhere else.

The local Sam's Club is no longer taking Visa or Mastercard credit cards as of sometime in August. They had someone in there the other day trying to sign customers up for Discover cards.
