Why can't you stop illegal drugs, and kids getting into R rated movies, and warez on the internet?

You just can't.

Alcohol is in the Bible and people enjoy it. What kind of a nutcase makes laws to outlaw things people enjoy.

Cause too many people like to get drunk. The government may think they control us, by making us pay all these crappy taxes and stuff, but when we really want something, it doesn't matter what they say.

For ONE they had a very small task force to patrol the country and TWO it was just not do-able from the start.

Too many alcholics anyways

They already tried the prohibition of alcohol in the US. It became a disaster.

You could say the same about drugs etc. Once you prohibit such substances, the only thing you accomplish is that

1) you give up any form of control on the production and use of these substances
2) the mafia will thank you for giving them another (very profitable) income

I still don't get why people would even want to drink alcohol or use drugs, though, since the only thing they accomplish with it is that their bodies become damaged.
