Why didn't anyone tell me how cheap Virgin Mobile was?

I've had Sprint for a year and a half, hardly using the phone, and in all I've spent about $850 on service. If I had Virgin, I would have spent about $120. Why didn't anyone tell me how cheap it is, and why don't they have ads that advertise the cheapness for people who use few minutes?

:angry;

Edit: Why did they get rid of the smilies menu?

Cheapest prepaid phone: http://gobeyondwireless.com - if they have area codes in your state.

The website makes me not want it.

They are a reseller of AT&T Free2Go, except a lot cheaper. Ignore the appearance of their website, I've had a backup phone with them for the last 5 months. The minutes don't expire as long as you use 1 every 60 days.

I've also had a backup phone with them for quite a while. It's covered by ATT (says ATT on my screen), and great reception. I asked them, and they did say that they're just cheaper resellers of ATT. Don't judge a book by its cover 😉

So will any TDMA phone work with Go Beyond Wireless? The site says to ask at a store if your phone will work.

Any will work - just call them to activate it, they will even give you $5 credit for free.

Is there coverage alright? If they could use GSM phones there would be more incentive. For some reason this makes more sense for a cell phone, only paying for minutes when you need them.
