Why didn't anyone tell me Battlefield 1942 was so good?

It's ok but I like Medal of Honor better. I have been playing the demos and the hardest thing to do is control the planes. I always end up crashing them after a few minutes. Good game, but KoToR has been taking more of my time lately.

ya i remember playing the demo of BF1942..it was insane..
i use to camp on the airfield and wait for a plane and gunned anyone down who tried to steal my plane..
and if some1 managed i would grenade the heck out of the plane trying to take off.

heh ahhh the good ole days.. i didnt play it once it offically came out tho.

its like that for every vehicle in the game. 1 is the driver seat and then other numbers are other seats in the vehicle.

And use the arrow keys to open the front ramp. It took me forever to figure that one out

ya that took me a while to figure out too.

Hitting 1 won't make you the driver if there is someone else already driving it, he mentioned someone else drove him to shore.

Also hitting 2 puts you in the gunners seat in the small boats. hitting 3 puts you in the gunners seat on the ATV and pressing 5 puts you in the gunners seat in the hummer jeeps.

2 for gunner on the helicopters too. 1 for driving them all if the drivers seat is empty. This also works on the carriers and other battleships. Except in Coral Sea where you can't drive the carriers, they are stationary. I think thats the only map where the carriers are immobile.

I play desert combat almost exclusively I like the weapons balance. Except Coral Sea, Desert Combat switches to regular BF1942 for that map.
