Why did you join Anandtech?

I joined to ask what video card I should choose to buy. Back then, it was between a 9600 (non-pro), 9600 Pro, 5600 Ultra or 5700 vanilla. I wanted some info because I knew Doom 3 was gonna be released soon. (Went with 9600P FWIW) Most of my early post were all in the video forum actually.

I joined cause it was very helpful site on getting aide tech issues. Off Topic grew into a funny place to gather. Now I just go for habit... I'm really dissapointed in what Off Topic has become, and frankly I'm considering finding another forum to waste my time in. The mods in Off Topic are ENTIRELY too politically correct and are an arrogant bunch.... There's a reason its Off Topic... didn't really think there was stuff that was not actually "off topic" in the off topic forum... but whatever.
