Why did they decide to put Mindhunters in the theater?

After releasing it straight to dvd last year? Seriously... you can go to any video store and rent a movie thats in the theaters right now, so why even bother going to the theater to watch it.

Yeah I noticed it was 2004 but in theatres now and was very confused by this. I had never heard of the movie before seeing ads for it now. It's not a bad movie. Not spectacular, but not bda.

There was no theatrical or dvd release in the US for Mindhunters.

Miramax is winding down and is pushing all the shelved product out.
It was put off orginally due to cutbacks at MM, supposedly.

Man, I thought I was going nuts. I could've SWORN that I had seen it already, and I see ads for it being released and I'm like "WTH, did I seriously imagine a 2 hour movie?"

Just as well, if I had paid theater prices to see it I would've been pissed, as is $3 to rent it was too much.

Saw it last year - pretty decent movie although the ending could've been better...
