Being the 1st to put a claim on a player doesn't mean you'll get first dibs. When Braves put Andruw Jones on waiver a lot of teams put claim on him, but only 1 team was awarded the claim.

Or no team if the Braves put Jones on revocable waivers and then they decide they wanted him back.

Oh yes, I read about that. Apparently Jones has the special 10-5 deal (10 year vet, 5 year w/ same team), so if the Braves don't trade him, they can't put him back on the waiver for the rest of the year.

Obviously after losing Varitek the Red Sox needed a catcher badly, and the Yankees knew this. When the Orioles put Lopez on trade waivers why didn't the Yankees put in a claim to stop Lopez from being traded to the Red Sox?

What really pisses me off is how the Devil Rays fvcked the trade up. They have to realize that they only pissed off the Orioles by doing it.. fvcking retarded.
