Why did the League of Shadows have to go to ridiculous lengths to get one nuke?

Think of it, to get that nuke in The Dark Knight Rises, the League of Shadows had to remove the core of Wayne Industries's experimental reactor, then weaponize it with the help of a Russian scientist and so on.

If the League of Shadows was that powerful, they could have easily stolen a nuclear device from any nation with nukes.

The real mind fuck is: Why did Talia Ghul's ultimate plot for revenge on Batman include taking his load in her mouth? "The best revenge is sucking off your mortal enemy, who happened to have killed your father!"

Honestly, the entire plot of the movie was ludicrous. Batman would never take 8 years off, if he was physically able. His GF dying sidelined him? His fucking parents were killed in front of him and that is what sparked him into being Batman in the first place... The League of Shadows were so powerful, they could hijack a Russian scientist, but they couldn't just buy a dirty bomb? Nobody, except that one orphan who happened to get that special look from Bruce Wayne, could figure out that a guy running around with hundreds of thousands of dollars of disposable high tech gadgets was Bruce Wayne?

Um maybe because they were a terrorist group and the fun side of terrorism is that it's not always rational decisions and often are more politically minded in nature.

They wanted to hurt Wayne enterprises bad. How else to do that? Blow up the city with their own equipment.

This was the second time the League had to steal something from Wayne enterprises. Perhaps Wayne Enterprises would be better off shutting down its weapon division.

But where would the fun be in that?

Am I the only one still laughing about Bane's voice? Seriously, anytime I see anything about this I can't not hear that voice and start laughing, and that's before I even start imaging it other ways (reminds me of John Leguizamo "You've been violated girly man" from the Spawn movie, which I of course start imagining with all that reverb or whatever they did for Bane and lose my shit even more).

And I remember how insane the Nolan fans were when that movie came out. If you didn't bow down and praise it you had a bunch of twits trying to berate you. I then imagined Bane voicing their opinions and well it was hard to take them seriously.

The only problem I had with Bane was the choice to go and dub over his voice afterwards. That caused him to sound like he was louder than everything, background stuff included. There is no reason him talking in an open airplane should sound like he was using a megaphone. I read initial screenings had people saying Bane was hard to hear and understand and Nolan was of the opinion of "deal with it", but a couple months later when the movie hit, he was dubbed over...

Regardless, Bane's voice was the least of that movie's problems.
