i thought it was either the porsche 911 turbo or the honda NSX-R which broke it in early 90's.

7:59 --- 154.822 km/h -- Nissan Skyline R33 GT-R, Dirk Schoymans (Autocar magazine 97) i couldnt find any other sources...but they mention it in top gear a lot too...the 911 turbo (996) beat the skyline later on...but im positive that the r33 was the first production car to lap the nurburgring in under 8 mins...i cant find any legitimate sources on google...maybe i just cant search...

come to Australia...we have THOUSANDS of them here, they were locally released here and thousands more imported from japan.

you can own a nice clean low km's R32 GTR or R33 GTR for less than a new standard base model Ford Falcon or GMH Commodore family sedan.

I live in a small town of less than 5000 people and there are 3 R33 GTR's, 1 R34 and a shitload of GTS-T's getting about, driven by 17-18 year old dickheads.

oh by the way, a baby Godzilla R32 GTS-T Type M can be had for as little as AU$7000 with low kays and a full service history...expect to pay about $2K more for a slower R33
