Why did my thread in OT get locked

Why was my "The official WWF Invasion line of the night thread" in Off Topic locked? It was meant as a place for us wrestling fans to quote our favorite one-liners from tonight's pay-per-view. What exactly was wrong with it?

I may not be right, but I think I remember seeing a thread about it earlier. If so, go post in there instead of starting a new thread.

I was trying to start a thread dedicated to the one-liners that these programs are known for (you will see a thread like this in alt.sports.pro.wrestling after just about every show). Booty and Noriaki were discussing the events of the shows and the storylines (I know, I have posted in both of these threads already).

Besides, is there a limit to the number of threads we are allowed to start on a given topic? "2's OK but 3 is too many?" Seems weird to me, especially in OT.

Just my thoughts...

The mods just want to keep the number of posts on the same (similar) topic to a minimum. At least, that's why I think your thread was locked.
