Why did my thread about the proposed new Assault Weapons Ban get Locked?

100 times more people go to OT than CPU/Processors. Post a CPU question in OT and see what happens.

ok, ok, i didn't know there was a politics and news forum when i first put it up. then when it was suggested, the amount of traffic didn't make sense for me to ask a mod to move it.

a lot of times news articles are posted in OT, though they are not necessarily political in nature. and perhaps the OP didn't want a politically charged thread?

i don't watch much t.v. other than the science channel and discovery hd or stuff like that - tlc, don't look at any news websites if i can help it. i have ocd, severe anxiety and a multitude of neurological issues so i don't need additonal stress and current state of the globe and our political system gets me so p!ssed that i just don't bother anymore. this was one that i thought i should post. i have still never gone into p&n and probably still won't - don't want to induce a heart attack on myself... :shocked:

To be fair, it's more like political news than any news.
