I went into msconfig and disabled various items a few days ago so I could troubleshoot a problem. One of them was probably for my task scheduler. I re-checked everyhting but I just noticed that my pc hasn't been running scandisk, defrag, etc. like it norramlly does. I set it to run scandisk nightly and defrag a couple times a week but nothing has run for 10 days. Everything looks OK with the properties of the scandisk, defrag, etc. but it apparently doesn't run anylonger.
Anyone know if temporarily disabling it could've done something? Any other thoughts?>
