That's because MS discontinued the SideWinder.

microsoft made good hardware but they never supported it. Id had the microsoft precision pro racing wheel usb. The drivers for it were only written for 98/me. so when i went to install it on 2000/xp it gave me a warning message that it might not work on these os. Microsoft never ever bother to release any drivers update for this wheel.

I loved my Sidewinder 3D Precision Pro, and had it until it finally died last month (at age 7) :(

MS made some NICE gaming hardware.

MS made some NICE gaming hardware.

Most of the HW that they produced was good quality and comfortable to use.

Backing it up with quality warranty helped.

yeah they have very nice hardware just lack of support for there own software and games. I mean come on your going to release windows xp, and not having any true softeware support for your own gaming hardware.

Their wireless routers sucked, wireless cards were just ok, mice are a personal preference but they did have problems with the cords in the intellimice, dunno about steering wheel or controllers.

So...where's the proof that they pulled out again?

I think they made/make very good keyboards and mice. If they pull out, who's Logitech's biggest contender?
