Why did I lose scrolling function in IE 5.5 all of a sudden?

I'm using a Logitech optical mouse and had the center button/wheel set for scrolling. As of a couple days ago it just stopped working with Internet Explorer. The scrolling function still works outside of IE.

I wasn't able to find any references to this problem on the logitech site. Anyone have any clues? I don't recall changine any setting in or out of IE.

I'm using Win98SE by the way.
