Why did I do that?

I went to browse around Barnes & Noble tonight. As usual, I walked in, went to the Best Sellers isle and took a look. I picked up the acclaimed Marley & Me. I started by reading the jacket. Then for no reason, I flipped to the last chapter and read the final 5-10 pages standing right there. It didn't take me but one page to start weeping. I finished the chapter, put the book down, turned towards two ladies and said with cracked voice and tears streaming down my face, "I don't know why I just did that."

Why did I do that?
