If I'm looking for an answer, google almost always has it on the first 5 pages. The image search is a neverending supply of car wallpapers for my machine at work

. Froogle is pretty good too (needs a sort by price option). The google toolbar is the greatest thing EVER.
I used to be a yahoo user (I'd used it since it was a page on stanfords student web hosting) but all the popups for x10 annoyed me. I still use their yellow pages, but even their paid links are getting annoying. At least with google they're easy to ignore.
My only complaint is those websites that put popular keywords on a page then link to their own pages, creating a nest of useless information or links to referal sites. Any time I search for something ecommerce related (coupon code searches are usually where I see this) I get these pages making google pretty much useless. I was searching for a dash install kit for my chevy blazer the other day and had to wade through tons of useless pages before I found a site that had what I wanted.
Google can't really do anything about them given the nature of the listing order. This kind of thing could kill google if the idiots got organized enough, but I don't see that happening outside of ecommerce info.
