Why did the asians evolve with slits and whites evolved with much more open eyes?

What advantage is there in asia to have slits as opposed to non-slits?

But evolution happens for a reason. The non-slit eyed people must have died out.

Asian eyes suffer from poor peripheral vision, but they see a lot more colors than caucasian eyes

From wikipedia:

An epicanthal fold, epicanthic fold or epicanthus is a skin fold of the upper eyelid (from the nose to the inner side of the eyebrow) covering the inner corner (medial canthus) of the eye. This fold covers and appears to lower the inner corners of the eyes, creating the appearance of "slanted eyes." It is commonly known amongst Asians as "single-eyelids", as opposed to "double eyelids".

The presence of epicanthal folds is normal in people of many, though not all, groups of East Asian and Southeast Asian descent. The occurence of the epicanthic fold is believed to be an evolutionary defense against both the extreme cold as well as the extreme light that occurs in the Eurasian arctic and north. A few have opted to have them minimized by Asian blepharoplasty. Epicanthal folds may also be seen in young children of any race before the bridge of the nose begins to elevate.

Persons of mixed East Asian and Caucasian parentage have varying degrees of the epicanthal fold and will appear more Caucasian or more East Asian as a result. It can also be found in significant numbers amongst Native Americans, the Khoisan of Southern Africa, many Central Asians and some people of Sami origin. Epicanthal folds are also common in people with Down syndrome and is the origin of the (once neutral, now considered offensive) term "mongoloid."

There's eyelid tape to fix the monolid problem. I have some, and they work wonders.

Wikipedia to the rescue.

And another thing: Not every question about what makes races different is racist, you ignorant hyper-P.C. f%$#tards. In fact, pretending that there is no difference between races is racist.

Black people have darker skin than most white people. Many asians have "slanted" eyes. Mexican food usually tastes better when actual Mexicans cook it. Jesus F%$#ing Christ people, stop trying to find excuses to get offended.
