Why did a thread of a new user asking help in networking that I spend a lot of time got deleted?

As title. It happened in Networking subforum.

I spend a lot of time to help this new user and got thanks from him. I believe the info I posted helped him and can be helpful for others.

I also believe he just want to share some info at the end of thread about the ISP that he had problem with.

Yet the moderator decided that he probably violates the rule to promote the ISP.

Why not just remove the sections/paragraphs that part, instead delete the whole thread?

I'm really furious.

Okay, I'll buy all that. Order has been restored. Oops. Didn't realize the thread had been moved. I put it back in networking.
