Why data copy from Mac to USB Flash Drive is slower than from PC to USB Flash drive?

The USB memory flash drive is in ExFat format. I copy files from MBP (OS X Lion) to USB flash drive using MBP's USB2.0 port takes a long time to copy.

If you copy the same files from Server 2003 HTPC to USB flash drive it's about 2 to 3 times faster.

I also tried it with Fat32 format and seems to make no difference.

Why??????? I need explanations. :colbert:

I've seen this issue on an old thread over on the Apple forums:

Have you considered upgrading to Mountain Lion? For $20, it might be worth a shot. Also, do you have the latest updates in Lion?
Oops.... you know what. I typed wrong in my original post. I actually haven't copied the file from PC to the USB flash drive, it was the other way. Let me do more testing to verify...

No, I have updates disabled in my OS X Lion...

btw, thanks for the link! I'll read up.
