Why can't women be drafted?

If women can join the military, why can't men be drafted? I thought women were fighting for equality, if they want equality, then they should be entitled to equal rights that men have, and that being able to be drafted.

If men can be drafted, I believe women should be able to as well. It's time for true equal rights!
