why cant we tickle ourselves?

actually i vaguely remember reading something about it, but i saw it such a long time ago anyway... so why cant we?

I think it's because there is no anticipation or guessing where/when your gonna get tickled when you do it yourself. Plus when someone else touches you it adds the extra <some word> factor.

Hehe, reminds me of a scene in the movie Bulletproof with Adam Sandler and I believe Damon Wayanes. A dog comes up and greets Sandler's character and starts licking his hands. Sandler's character says, &quot;Wow, he likes me..&quot; Then Damon's character retorts, &quot;No, he's just trying to get the taste of his balls out of his mouth.&quot;
