Because they're "religious" and still stuck on Old Testament law and don't realize that the new covenant/law in the New Testament has done away with all that.

I ate a sausage patty with my breakfast, had a cheeseburger and chicken fingers for lunch - who says I can't eat meat?

Why do you ask stupid questions like that in here? You know religion looks like sh*t in this forum. Everyone in here hates f*cking religion. It pisses me off because Im catholic and stupid questions like this always come up here and gets flamed up the ass. Yet stupid asses still continue asking. :frown:

The reason for not eating meat during ALL fridays of Lent (for Catholics) is essentially because the fisherman didn't get enough business way back when. They made a deal with the Pope regarding this and they came up with the idea that meat eating on fridays during Lent ist verbotten.

K, I go to church every Sunday, with my family. I don't beleive in any of it. Religion is the cause of a lot of the bad crap in the world. Like check out a few threads go and you'll see Filipinos crucifying themselves. WTF. Religion is the cause of wars, and them telling me I can't eat meat is just retarded.

Think about it, the Crusades, the 100 Years war (I think that God factored into that one somehow, y'know, with Joan of Arc), WW2, and even the war on terrorism.
