I bought a matress and Mill drove it home for me on his old exploder. I cut the tag off before we left and the guy who sold it nearly had a cow. He was looking around like mad - like the cops were going to bust me or something - and told him that he could lose his matressing license for this, but he'll not mention it. He said burn the tag, and when it's time to get rid of the mattress down the road make sure I have no fingerprints/dna on it; ie, burn it.

YOu can the manufacturer can't
no, you can after you purchased it, manufacturer and the retailers and wholesalers can't. same thing with fabric furnature and mass produced pillows. they have to list the materials in case you have an allergic reaction to whatever it's made of (polyester, etc.)

It was originally designed to verify that the contents were not a biological hazzard, such as human hair (which was collected from concentration camps and used in some matresses in WWII)

Cutting the tag off a mattress breaks the magic spell and lets all the Z's escape. Do it, and you'll never be able to use that mattress to catch any of them, again. :Q :brokenheart:

When you're 10-12 years old, everyone is a moron - especially online, where there're no consequences. They need to stop giving kids unmonitored internet access in schools :disgust:

I'm 22 yrs old and didnt really care is all. Now stfu and get a life? k thx?

The tags used to say, "DO NOT REMOVE UNDER PENALTY OF LAW". There was nothing about the consumer. They now say, "THIS TAG NOT TO BE REMOVED EXCEPT BY THE CONSUMER".

"Why can't we cut tags off clothes?"

I've been wearing my clothes with tags on. You're telling me as a consumer, I can cut the tags off? NO WAY!
