Hi,

I just got a linksys wireless pci card (wmp11v2.7), but i'm having trouble with it. as soon as i installed the drivers my machine freezed. i thought it was an irq conflict so i tried both of my other two pci slots, but got the same results. nothing has been installed in those slots previously.

here's was my pci setup:
mobo: Soyo k7v Dragon plus
aiw radeon 8500dv in agp pro slot
Sound Blaster Audigy oem in pci slot 4
acer 56K fax/data modem in pci slot 5

i then found out that i should disable PNP OS in the bios, so i did that, and it didn't freeze as soon as i loaded as per usual and i felt good. then 5 minutes later it froze and repeated to freeze at the winxp login screen on each consecutive bootup.
knowing that creative crads often have conflicts with other components, i tried various combinations with the pci cards in different slots. alas, no combination worked.
so then i updated the audigy drivers, the via 4-in-1 drivers and flashed my bios for good measure. it then booted, worked for about 5 minutes again, and froze. and went back to the freezing on the login screen my computer seems so fond of. i found the only way to use the linksys card is if i remove the audigy card. and vice versa. so if i want to network i can't listen to music, and if i want to listen to music i can't network. which is a less than desireable situation. oh yeah, i'm running winxp and i also changed ACPI PC to Standard PC in the Device Manager. that didn't work either.

anyone know how to get the two components running together?

thanks
