Why cant the Dell 2005fp do 1280x800??

I can't understand why the 9800 would not do it... I was going to suggest just using the resolution you're suppose to use, but maybe the 9800 can't do it?

depends on the game. windows runs fine at 1650x1080 too but sometimes im not right up on the screen and i like to lower the resolution so i can still read it.
