Kal as in (culimination) yan


but normally ppl who get it remotely right say it as

Kal as in (California) yan

Um, because your name is the opposite of the way people normally pronounce those syllables. Seriously, that's a wired name, you have to deal with the fact that if someone has never heard your name before, they are just going to have to guess how to say it.
