It all started with my monitor or maybe it could've been the videocard.
The monitor would not power on when I turned on the computer, it would come on after another restart of the computer.
Then I changed the outlets that the monitor was connected to, that was fine.
Then, on Friday, I turned on the computer then when it came to the Win2k logo, then there were lines on the monitor and I couldn't see anything.
I restarted the computer, then everything was fine, so I checked to see if it was the videocard drivers that might need an upgrade. So I downloaded the drivers for the videocard and up-dated the drivers for the card. So, then everything was working fine up to this afternoon.
I tried to boot up my computer, nothing would come on....tried a restart, the power would come on but then it went directly to the BIOS, tried to refresh the settings, the keyboard would not work. Checked all the keyboard connections, everything was connected, I couldn't use the keys on the keyboard to move the options. Forced to restart the computer, but then it would hang and wouldn't power up to see anything on the monitor.
The lights were all on, but nothing coming up on the monitor. restarted a couple more times, and came back to the BIOS settings to where it said the CPU settings needs to confirmed. I couldn't use the keyboard at all! It went through all initializations of memory, CD-ROMs, etc, but then I couldn't turn on the numlock, neither the mouse would not work(its the optical mouse that lights up when the drivers are loaded at startup). The lights flashed on the keyboard, but I couldn't turn on the numlock, use F8, DELETE, or use the mouse...
I pulled out the videocard, memory, checked all connections, fans to see if they were spinning, put everything back in, and I'm still not able to use the keyboard to get back into BIOS to check the settings now. I even tried using another keyboard and mouse to access BIOS, tried using DELETE, and couldn't get into the BIOS. what is wrong?
Let me know thanks ASAP 🙁
