Why can't I use more than 127GB?

My motherboard has an onboard Promise ATA/100 RAID controller and I connected a 200GB hard drive to it. In RAID controller BIOS post screen, I can see it saying 186GB but as soon as I'm in Windows and go into the Disk Management, my new drive is reported as 127GB.

I hook up the drive to regular IDE port and I can get all of 200GB(or 186GB in real life)

Any idea?

Are you using XP or 2000?

It sounds like you need to update the promise driver and possibly your bios. What's the motherboard make and model?
