why can't i use hotmail address in profile

why won't anandtech let me use my hotmail as email addres s in profile.
what the hell are they gonna let me use?
i dun use my school's or work email as I DUN HAVE ONE.
why are they so insecure.
no word of "thE_BAY" TOgether
now restricting emails i can use?
why don't they send a confirmation? why don't trust anyone anymore

Second, they won't let you use your hotmail account because too many assholes sign up with free accounts and spam the bord. Once they ban a free address, the person can make another, and another...register with a payed-for address.

Thebay has the word "ebay" in it, which is banned because too many people were promoting their own auctions.

EDIT: The reason why you see "Ebay" is because I passed the language filter. It is against forum rules, but I am sure the Mods won't mind because I was not ABUSING the word... just helping out. And NO, I won't tell you how to pass the filter.

Do a search for free email. Find one that is NOT common, and use it. But don't abuse it....See, I am a poet and you suck. Err..

Hmm...it worked for me even without using the &quot;Pass By&quot; kind of trick...
