Why can't I timedemo/benchmark q3?

I deleted pak4.pk3 and installed 1.17, and it still doesn't work, and it gives me the same error. Info please?

I've done that, and it pops up with the "tried to load VM failed, dll something" error.

i went back to 1.17 (but i kinda liked 1.25) and have had no problems.
turn down the clock?

edit: installed the 1.27g yet? they say its the same code as team arena
