why can't i see images in ie6.0

i've been using ie6 for weeks now and today i noticed that any all images on websites are not displayed. I just get that broken picture icon where an image is supposed to be; i view the page on netscape and opera and the images are showing there fine.......why is this happening any ideas?
 
I had the same prob this week. Try using the repair IE function in your tools menu in IE. It will try to repair it. If it doesn't take, it will tell you what the prob is. Mine was missing some DLLs and another few files. If it will not repair IE, go to your windows update folder and select IE6. Most likely you will be downloading it yet again. Hope you are on DSL or broadband! I had to reinstall it. Hope this helps.
