Why can't I register an expired domain?

Ok, here is the situation....

I have been watching a domain name which expired well over 2 months ago (Nov. 9, 2001). However, I still can not register the domain... it is listed as reserved with the original contact info there. How long is networksolutions going to hang on to the domain? Isn't there some limit to how long they can hold it?

Just wondering?
 
It depends on the TLD policy....I think my domain gives me a 90-day window after expiration, where I have exclusive dibs on it.

Thanks for that info... I bet that it is 90 days... only a few more days to wait then... 🙂

I wish all the other bill collectors could be so nice... 🙂
