Why cant I log in?!?!?!?

This is what I get when I try to login as "Supahfreak", my normal nick. I havent changed anything in my profile so I'm confused

I was just able to log onto the forums with your user name and the password I found in your account. This suggests that the problem is on your end.

I suggest that you clear your cache and any cookies or login scripts in your browser that may relate to AnandTech. When you get to the login window, UN-check "Remember my login." If you are successful, you can re-check it later.

I will leave this account unlocked until we resolve your problem.

Im not a subscriber but I've cleared the cache earlier today. I also installed IE 6.0 but dunno if that had anything to do with it but ATOT worked yesterday on IE5.5.

You coudl try requesting the password for your other account "Supahfreak", verify you are entering what AT expects as your p/w. If you've changed your email in the profile it will automatically change to a new password, or it might be as simple as your caps lock is on or something.
 
i've been using IE6 for the longest time and havent had a problem with staying logged in.. hmm.. maybe it's a sign to subscribe... 😉

well worth it imo. 🙂
 
Maybe I'm doin this wrong, when you clear your cache you go to tools, options, delete cookies, right?!?!?! If I'm doin this wrong please tell. Thanks for the help guys

Click "Delete Files" AND "Delete Cookies" AND "Clear History" that should nuke any nasties in your browser. if you have auto password enabled you will need to clear that aswell, to do that you will need to click the "Content" Tab, then the "AutoComplete" button then click "Clear Passwords". This will nuke any nasties that may be lurking in your auto complete. then close all your browser windows and re open. this will make sure that the changes are sure to stick. THEN if you still have problems make SURE you've got the right password by going Here.
