Ever since i got @home cable 2 days ago, i can't seem to download or upload anything over napster.

I can log on, search and chat. But when i try to download, im forever "getting info". When somebody tries to downlaod from me, they are forever "waiting".

I've set both "maximum uploads/downloads per user" to 2, without using a proxy. These are the same settings that had alwaz worked with dial-up.

I think it's due to the slowdown of Napster servers, takes me longer with DSL. I haven't been on in a few days though.

Did you check that you were behind a firewall? Are you? Did you set that up right. You might uninstall it and reinstall, letting it detect you connection. :)

n/m it works. re-installed napster, it said i appeard to be behind a firewall, and set itself up for it. Now, i don't have a software firewall program, or a hardware firewall machine. But it works now, so who cares. I think the @home servers have a firewall setup or something.

Try using a different server with the Napster client via Napigator (that is do not use Napster corp's servers) and see if it works.
