Im using WS_FTP LE to connect to it and an error come sup saying "Directory not empty". Same thing when I tried it with IE. I righ-clicked on the folder that needs deleting and for chmod, i selected all the choices. Whats going on? Do I have to delete these files one by one?

cause WS_FTP is a piece of crap. SmartFTP is free and will recursively deete things for you.

Actually, just this one issue would qualify it as awful in my book, since every other FTP client can delete recursively.

Most likely scenario: WS_FTP is not showing "hidden" files - that is, filenames that are preceded with a period, like ".htaccess" (without quotes).

If you can get WS_FTP to display these hidden files, problem solved. Unfortunately I have idea where that option is in the program, considering I haven't used it in years. WS_FTP *is* a piece of crap.
